We Are Here For You We are a team of volunteers who live in the Sotogrande area and choose to give our time to facilitate community care, collaboration and integration in a light-hearted, easy-going and friendly manner. We recognise Sotogrande can be a lonley place for people of all ages and stages, that it can be hard to find ways to connect and form new social groups, or a little dauting to go along to existing events for the first time. You can see us as a bridge; we will be very happy to 'meet you along the way' to a new class or activity, or to attend sotolife social events with you and introduce you to some of the members. We love to meet new people, to get to know you and hear your stories and experiences, so if you are new, or if you have been here for years and have decided that now is the time to grow your social circle, we are here to empower your decision. If you need assistance in sourcing resources, professional care and support, or are not sure how to navigate your way around spanish systems, please do ask, and one of our voluteers may be able to point you in the right direction or assist you through the process. If you would like simply like a friendly chat, one of our voluteers will be happy to meet you for a coffee.
What Don't We Offer What we cannot do is fulfil what would be a professional role, such as carer, counsellor, nurse, cook, babysitter, taxi driver, but we can help you source these people.
Peace of Mind All of our voluteers meet clearance for spanish police checks. This is so that if one of our volunteers is meeting you at your home or assisting you with something private, we hope this gives you some peace of mind that we are mindful to take care of you.
Who Do We Support? Anyone based in the Sotogrande area who would value friendly support from your neighbours.
Where are We? Weekly coffee mornings about to be re-established for 2023.
