The Sotogrande Community association will be a formal non-for profit organisation that will form a committee to address the issues that require collaboration with the San Roque Town hall and the EUC/Parques Sotogrande and other communities inside Sotogrande. This association will in the initial formation be led by Adrian Van Loon, with the goal to invite a president, vice president and committee team to apply for positions with the association. If you are interested in joining the committee, please contact Adrian directly: firstname.lastname@example.org
Adrian Van Loon (or Ad as they call me in Holland): I carry a lifetime combining cultural and social projects with business work. I began as a freelance copywriter in international advertising. I then became a private marketing consultant to multinational industries, while teaching film and organizing film festivals and social and cultural education all over Holland. In the mid-eighties, my international work brought me to Spain and to settle me in Sotogrande. From my arrival, I combined my consultancy work with cultural and social themes, resulting in, among other projects, the constitution of the Sotogrande Cultural Association; an official registered NGO, of which I am the President. People who know me will confirm that from my first day here I have worked to help create and stimulate the cultural and social integration of the residents and regular visitors of our Urbanization, in close collaboration with the Town Hall of San Roque, our municipality. I feel grateful for and most hopeful regarding the collaboration with Antonia Behan and Moren Butteweg in creating this platform, and express my deepest wish that many will join to support it and help us in achieving the so wished and needed communal goal: Sotogrande Somos Todos!
